In today’s financial system your success depends on your capability to prospect and generate leads. However, if you are like most people you probably suffer from Call Reluctance and find ways to avoid picking up the phone.
Are you waiting for your fear collapse before you get on the phone and prospect? If so, you’re not alone. Most of all real estate agents and business owners suffer the same means. They love the work that they do they hate the idea of picking the phone and calling someone they don’t know.
The best thing you can do is to get rid of the fear. The first step is Awareness. You need to be aware that the fear is there and is costing you big time in your industry.
The next step is to do your best to understand the fear. The source always goes back to self-limiting beliefs. For most people the self-limiting belief that stops them is on an unconscious level.
Keep in mind, this is not a reality, it is only a faith. You need to question whether that belief is right. What if the opposite were true? What if every time you picked up the phone you were actually offering a gift? This gift is a gift of your knowledge, experience and expertise. Start turning your attitude around and understand that when you pick up the phone you are always the giver.
